HEX THE BORDERS: a Halloween fundraiser for mutual aid and solidarity
This Halloween, 1pm to 7:30pm
Halloween night is always going to be packed, but if you’re after something chill and something meaningful (at the same time!), come spend the afternoon and early evening with us. We’ll wrap up by 7:30pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to get to your evening plans, or just go home!
Come dressed up, or stop by our make-up table to finish your look before heading out.
Activities on the day:
Mysterious spooky film screening (~ 1:30PM start)
Mysterious workshop by PA Nguyen (TBD ~ 3PM start)
Make-up table to finish your Halloween look before your night out (from 3PM onwards)
Karaoke (~4PM to 7:30PM)
Yummy food by the legendary duo Yannie (Yan and Jennie) from the ESEACC Luncheon Club team (from about 4:30PM)
Who we’re fundraising for:
My UK visa: about £800 towards the IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge)
Maram: a single mother of three from North Gaza. We’re raising funds to prepare her for the winter (about £300 for a new tent + food).
Dana: a 20-year-old Palestinian woman who lost her father in the genocide and is currently waiting to be evacuated from Gaza to pursue her studies in literature and poetry. We’re raising funds to help her look after her mother, who has heart disease and needs regular care (about £350).
The Leonardo 3: towards their ongoing trial process (about £350)
Stay for an hour or the whole afternoon, every bit of support goes straight to the people above. Come eat, sing, and help us hex the borders. Seeee YOoooOOOOoOOUuu Thereee ~~~~~
